Saturday Analysis

Baden-Baden // Race 5 // 10:00 am ET (US) // Group 3 Golden Whip (Die Goldene Peitsche)

In this sprint race over 6 furlongs, the British horse #1 Ainsdale is the one to beat. The colt finished second in a Group 2 race at Haydock Park, and has run 6th and 8th in his last two Group 3 races in England. The second favorite is the Irish runner #3 Majestic Colt. Eduardo Pedroza rides him for the fitth time now and they have already won a pair of Group 3 sprints in Hamburg (GER) and Cologne (GER). #6 Rubaiyat finished second behind Majestic Colt in his last race in April in Germany. The bay colt has one of the best ratings, but the long break puts a question mark on this horse. #13 Dibujaba, trained by No. 1 trainer in Germany (Peter Schiergen), won August 8 in a listed race over today's distance, finishing in front of #9 Waldersee, and is considered on the best sprinters in Germany. He should be considered.

Baden-Baden // Race 7 // 11:20 am ET (US) // Group 2 T. Von Zastrow Stutenpreis

#5 Isfahani (A. Starke) is one of the morning-line favorites. Her last race was a Group 1 race in which she finished second. The same race featured also #10 Walkaway, who offered a great finish and came in fourth. She may like the longer distance (+200m). #8 Normfliegerin only finished 8th in the same race with previously mentioned fillies, but has previously shown that she can win over today's distance. The longshot to watch is #7 Lovelle, one start/one win, but she meets a tougher field and has a new jockey. #9 Waldbiene has previously run only in France and could be in the exotics.
