Horseshoe Indianapolis has a $41,079 carryover in its late pick 4 for Tuesday. The 50-cent base wager covers the last 4 Thoroughbred races on the card, Races 5-8. Let’s get to work.

Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 5 (4:14 pm ET)
The scratch of #7 Cora’s Legacy leaves a field of 8 bottom-level claimers routing on dirt. Four-time winner #3 Martz Rosey looks to be a class standout against a group of primarily non-winners of 3 lifetime. Trainer Tomas Medina is a sharp 20: 5-4-1 locally since the start of October. #6 La Orgullosa has been solid in all 3 starts since coming back to trainer Joe Davis, while sprint-to-route #1 Pounds in Town offers some intrigue from the rail.

Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 6 (4:45 pm ET)
A full field of non-winners of 2 lifetime claimers contest this 1-1/16 miles test on turf (scratch the also-eligibles). #3 Finn McSorley has fit very well vs. local turf claimers in 2 tries and is well-drawn for a jock-trainer combo showing a flat-bet profit in Indy. He’ll need a hot pace, which doesn’t look obvious on paper. The second-off-the-layoff form cycle could produce a move forward for #7 B B Prince, who drops in for a claiming tag for the first time. #11 Rulookingforrayray’s Ellis Park effort in July looks on par to play here for a Tommy Drury barn that’s often live. #6 Sombalover has consistently faced stronger competition than this for a Paulo Lobo barn winning 27% at the meet.

Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 7 (5:16 pm ET)
A big field of non-winners of 2 lifetime claimers sprint 6 furlongs (scratch longshot #4 Man of Quality). Indiana-breds #12 Neon Leon and #9 Creek Valley catch a weak cast of open-company types and are eligible with multiple state-bred wins not included in the race conditions. Creek Valley has won 3 of his last 4 starts at the 6-furlong trip (including a head-to-head with then-favored Neon Leon on Aug. 8). #11 El Sargento has been away since February, but prior classy form fits very nicely here if ready for jock-trainer combo that hits 20% together locally.

Horseshoe Indianapolis: Race 8 (5:47 pm ET)
State-bred claimers at the $5,000 basement level match up in a field reduced to 6 after the scratches of #4 Metallic Man and #6 Reflex. Standout favorite #8 Mr Negativity should handle his business for a Randy Klopp barn that’s won an Indy-best 15 races (22%, $ ROI for every $1 bet) since the start of October. #1 Benny’s Day would be the best alternative in the event of a scratch.

The Ticket
3,6,1 with 3,7,11,6 with 9,12,11 with 8 = $18 for 50 cents
