$834K Carryover / Mandatory Payout Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Picks | Sunday, March 3, 2024

Gulfstream Park features an $834,368 carryover and mandatory payout in the Rainbow 6 wager Sunday that could be worth millions. The sequence begins in Race 6 (scheduled post time 2:39 pm ET) of the 11-race card. The Rainbow 6 has a base bet amount of just 20 cents, so you can include several horses along the way at an affordable cost.

Here’s the early look how on-track handicappers from Gulfstream Park, Brian Nadeau and Ron Nicoletti, see the 6-pack of races in a tandem ticket of sorts.

Gulfstream Park // Race 6 // 2:39 pm ET

Notes: One of the most difficult races of the Rainbow 6 starts out with a field of 12 and our handicappers have identified half as reasonable contenders. Top choices are #4 Ro Town, who has won her last two races, and #8 Party On Girl, ridden by leading jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. If budget allows use as many of the 6 listed as possible, but the top 2 are definitely recommended.

Picks: 4-8-1-12-7-9

Gulfstream Park // Race 7 // 3:09 pm ET

Notes: Much more focused race comes down to 2 key contenders. #5 Neat Trick ran well in her first career race and has trained well since that effort. #3 Bedazzle ‘Em has finished second as the favorite in her last two races and this daughter of 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah has been knocking on the door.

Picks: 5-3

Gulfstream Park // Race 8 // pm ET

Notes: The dash distance will take less a minute to complete, so expect a tight finish. #3 Ivory Moon has won 2 of 4 lifetime races for a trainer who has had a great season at Gulfstream. #7 Run for the Hills finished first or second in 5 of her last 7 races and always is a threat. #11 Wide West has faced the strongest competition of any filly in this race, but her wide starting post position will be a challenge to overcome ground loss on the turn.

Picks: 3-7-11

Gulfstream Park // Race 9 // pm ET

Notes: If there’s a race in which to narrow your ticket and save some cost, this is it, according to our handicappers. #6 Cacciatore won his most recent race by more than 10 lengths in a fast time and appears capable of facing tougher competition today with a similar effort.

Picks: 6 … others in order of preference 1-3-7-4

Gulfstream Park // Race 10 // pm ET

Notes: Solidly behind a trio of contenders here, led by #4 Scramble, who returns for a long break but has a win and a third-place finish in 2 previous races on the Gulfstream Park grass course. #3 Sir London has a strong workout for what is his first race since October. #10 Fredo has been racing more recently and with consistency, providing 6 straight top-3 finishes.

Picks: 4-3-10

Gulfstream Park // Race 11 // pm ET

Notes: The final race is among the most challenging with as many as 6 win contenders identified by our handicappers. #12 Sassy Princess raced well on the grass course at the prestigious Saratoga summer season and may appreciate returning to a grass surface today. You’ll want to use as many of these as you feel comfortable including in terms of budget.

Picks: 12-11-8- 6-7-2
