December 26 promises to be one of the most important days in the history of 1/ST Racing. It’s opening day of the Classic Meet at Santa Anita, opening day of the Championship Meet at Gulfstream Park and host date of the Christmastide Day stakes card at Laurel Park. All month, 1/ST BET will prepare you for a 26th of December to Remember with special content.
Entries were drawn today at Gulfstream and Santa Anita (Laurel entries already were established) for the Dec. 26 festivities.
Gulfstream’s 10 races begin at 12:10 pm ET with 10 entered in the Tropical Park Oaks (Race 5, 2:11 pm ET) and 14 in the Tropical Park Derby (Race 8, 3:42 pm ET) that includes a pair of also-eligibles. Take a look at the full-card overnight entries here.
At Santa Anita, 11 races kick off the new season at 11:00 am PT and the stakes rocket from the gate with the $200,000 Grade 2 Mathis Mile in the leadoff spot. The co-featured Grade 1 $300,000 Malibu and Grade 1 $300,000 American Oaks comprise the late daily double in Races 10 and 11. Check out the full-card overnight entries here.
